Year in Pictures... 2012

January 1, 2012...

The first day of 2012 became the last day
to care for our neighbors pets... Milo and Ginger.
My daughter spent her winter vacation week caring for
these two adorable dogs.

January 2, 2012

Our neighborhood consists of some of the best walking trails in Massachusetts.
This moment reminded me of the New Year and the resolutions we make.

What path will you be taking for 2012 ?
What are your goals?

January 3, 2012

My many different colored days.
This is the scene out my window each morning... while sipping my coffee.
Some days can be more red, yellow or orange,
but it is always a beautiful way to begin.

January 4, 2012

This feeder was the attraction of a Black Bear that visited our backyard last night.
In all the years living here it was a first for us....
so I thought it was appropriate to capture this moments object of desire.

My One Word 365 for 2012

January 8,2012

It doesn't seem a day goes by without the scent of fingernail polish remover
lingering through the rooms of my house.
Why? I have a teenage daughter....

Another bear sighting....

January 16, 2012

My daughters new Blog...
I'm curious to see where her creativity will lead her!

January 18, 2012

Today many on the Internet took a stand to Protest the
bill in Congress, H.R. 3261 - SOPA, that would restrict our
liberties and would change the internet forever.
(The president also announced today that he would not support the bill)

Waiting on Spring....

We have had no real significant snowfall event this winter.
Today, Mother Nature decided to have the last word about
Winter in New England.

March 19, 2012

This is an image of today's high temperatures in New England.
I wish I thought to take a picture of a thermometer!
The kids are wearing shorts in March, never heard of.
We had temperatures in the high 70's and 80 degrees in some places.

Having a very Happy Easter.
The kids enjoying their traditional Easter Egg Hunt!
This one is hidden in a Robin's Nest, left from last year.

Today I posted my first Wordless Wednesday Post.
This was very difficult because I so badly wanted to  wish my son
David, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Today my oldest turns 17 years old.
This is a picture of him on his
First Day of Kindergarten

  1. What an interesting year so far. :) A black bear? How scary and yet cute. We had a bear on our front porch when I lived in the Colorado Rockies. He was interested in some honey dates. We normally didn't have our trash so close to the house and well, that night we did. Our dogs went NUTS! He was a large but cute bear. And it was ADORABLE that he ate all the honey dates. ;)

    1. Thanks for stopping by Sarah. I had hoped to post one picture everyday, but soon realized my schedule would not allow it. So I post when something significant has happened, if I remember to catch the moment.
