A Greater Perspective

There is a greater perspective in this world than our own. It’s not one we see, but one we feel.
It’s the one that has the power to move mountains and calm fears.

Melynda Fleury Book Fair Giveaway Event

Start off the school year by joining us in this Book Fair Giveaway.

As an assistant in a classroom, I was thrilled to become involved in a Giveaway that gives the gift of reading!

Wayman Publishing is hosting this Book Fair Giveaway in honor of Melynda Fleury. Melynda is an author, mother of three, and as she states on her blog Crazy World, a person with “a ridiculous sense of humor.” Melynda has been battling with diabetes since being diagnosed at the age of 13. Currently, Melynda is legally blind with very little sight in her left eye.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights Infographic

I hope to become more involved with organizations that help to protect the human rights of individuals. My interest in the protection of human rights led me on a search of how the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was conceived. My research has led me create an infographic.

Giveaway Appreciation

In life, I look for humor and inspiration among the people and situations I encounter. I enjoy passing that onto my readers, followers and fans alike. As an entrepreneur trying to build a Made in USA brand, I would like to Thank-You for being apart of this journey by conducting a Giveaway of some of my favorite items.

Belfast Maine in Pictures

Take a look at one of the most beautiful towns in Maine. Its beauty is drawn from the fact that this town has not been commercialized despite being located just off Route One. The shops in Belfast, Maine contain the wares of local artisans as well as items manufactured in America. You can also spend your time visiting one of the many art galleries. There are several places and activities to keep you busy while you visit Belfast. They have a city park that is perfect for a picnic lunch, tennis, swimming, beach combing as well as having a playground area for the kids. They are known for their beautiful walking bridge and newly built, state of the art dog park. On a rainy day, you can take in a movie at the Colonial Theatre and on better days go boating or find sea glass in the harbor at low tide.

Here are a few photographs I took during my visit to Belfast, Maine...

27 Million People

That is the number of people who are living in slavery TODAY.

This is a post I did not plan to write. It is one that I was moved to write after viewing a TED video with speaker Lisa Kristine. Lisa is a photographer who collaborated with Free the Slaves to document the lives of people being mistreated… forced into slavery around the world.
